Module nustd.kv.refs.dictshape.

Virtuals shapes dict reference: mapping of homogeneous shapes.

Key descent (ref[k]) is overridden to return a substrate-backed virtuals ShapeRef at the key, with this ref as parent_ref.

Subscripting lands on a shape ref for that key rather than on a value, so a row's fields are reachable and writable one at a time: mids["m1"].note.set(...).

Notes

Every row is stored decomposed, field by field, so writing one field of one row does not read or rewrite the others.
A key vivifies on write: writing a field under a key that is not there yet creates the row and every level above it.
Reading a field under a key that is not there yields EMPTY.
The key may be an expression or a ref, including a ref from another fabric, and is resolved when the path is walked.
Keys default to str; the key type is fixed at declaration.
